You do not need much space or equipment to train well at home.

Start here

  • Adjustable dumbbells or a few fixed pairs: they cover most exercises.
  • A flat or adjustable bench: check the weight capacity.
  • Resistance bands: light, cheap and useful for warm-ups and mobility.
  • A floor mat: protects the floor and your joints.

Add later

  • Kettlebells for swings and carries
  • A pull-up bar that fits your door frame (measure it)
  • A power rack if you plan heavy barbell work and have the ceiling height

Specs to check

Weight range and increments, maximum load, footprint and how equipment stores.

Safety

Learn form with lighter weights first, and talk to a doctor before starting if you have a health condition.
